Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN)

The PSTN provides voice and data communication over a circuit-switched network. It is the network which presently provides most international and national telephone service to end users. Some portions of the PSTN have already been replaced with ▲VoIP systems, including elements of the "core" network and end user equipment.
