IP Telephony (IPTel)

IP Telephony (IPTel) refers to the transport of voice, video, text, and other real-time media over IP networks. IP Telephony is considered to be the key technology that will provide advances in communication for end users and is expected to completely replace the PSTN over time. This term is synonymous with VoIP.
