XML Schema

XML Schema is a is a W3C Recommendation that uses XML to describe the proper construction of an XML document.

The first version of XML Schema was approved as a W3C Recommendation in 2001.

XML Schema 1.1 is currently in progress and is presently a Candidate Recommendation. The current draft standards are XML Schema 1.1 Part 1: Structures and XML Schema 1.1 Part 2: Datatypes.
